Regenerative Orthopaedics in Gurgaon

Regenerative therapies use components of your own blood or bone marrow to support the healing of joints, tendons and ligaments. Image-guided PRP, BMAC and stem cell therapies are used as a non-surgical option in selected patients.

Your body already has a healing process. Regenerative orthopaedics concentrates the platelets, growth factors and stem cells you already produce, and delivers them to damaged cartilage, ligaments and tendons. The aim is to support tissue repair.

Our Regenerative Therapies

Selected based on your condition, severity and goals, and never as a one-size-fits-all "shot".

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

A small sample of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which contain growth factors involved in tissue repair. The concentrated plasma is then injected into the injured tendon, ligament or joint under ultrasound guidance.

  • Outpatient procedure, about 60–90 minutes in total
  • Uses your own blood (autologous)
  • Image-guided delivery
  • Mild post-injection soreness for 1–3 days

Commonly used for: Tennis & golfer's elbow, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, partial rotator cuff tears, early knee arthritis, mild ligament sprains.

BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate)

BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate)

Bone marrow is drawn from the hip (under local anaesthetic), concentrated to isolate the stem cell and platelet-rich fraction, and then injected into the affected joint or tissue. BMAC delivers a higher concentration of cells than PRP alone.

  • Day-care procedure, about 2 hours end to end
  • Higher cell concentration than PRP
  • Aimed at structural tissue as well as inflammation
  • Many patients walk out the same day; activity is resumed in stages as advised by the treating doctor

Commonly used for: Moderate knee and hip arthritis, meniscus tears, partial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tears, avascular necrosis (AVN) in early stage, labral tears, and chronic tendinopathies.

MSC (Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy)

MSC (Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy)

Adult mesenchymal stem cells (from bone marrow or adipose tissue) can differentiate into cartilage, ligament, tendon or bone cells. When delivered to a damaged area, they are used to support tissue regeneration and reduce inflammation.

  • Used for more extensive structural damage
  • Can be combined with PRP
  • Image-guided delivery
  • Response, where it occurs, is gradual and varies between patients

Commonly used for: Advanced osteoarthritis, complex tendon/ligament injuries, cartilage defects, post-traumatic joint conditions.

Prolotherapy & Adjunct Biologics

Prolotherapy & Adjunct Biologics

A series of small injections that trigger a controlled inflammatory response, prompting the body to strengthen weakened or lax ligaments. Often used with PRP and physiotherapy for ligament instability or chronic joint laxity.

  • Short outpatient sessions, typically 3–6 sittings
  • Used for ligament and tendon laxity
  • Aims to support joint stability over time
  • Combined with PRP and physio protocols

Commonly used for: Chronic ligament laxity, sacroiliac joint pain, recurrent sprains, mechanical low-back pain, mild joint instability.

How It Works

A step-by-step process from evaluation to follow-up.

Dr. Karan Raj Jaggi explaining a knee model during a consultation

1

Evaluation

Clinical examination by Dr. Karan and an imaging review (MRI/X-ray) to confirm regenerative therapy is suitable for your condition.

2

Harvesting

Blood drawn (for PRP) or bone marrow aspirated (for BMAC/stem cells), performed under local anaesthetic.

3

Concentration

The sample is processed in our in-house lab to concentrate platelets, growth factors and stem cells, following clinical protocols.

4

Image-Guided Injection

The concentrate is injected into the damaged structure using real-time ultrasound or fluoroscopy guidance.

5

Recovery & Tracking

Structured rehab, periodic reviews and tracked outcomes for the next 6–12 weeks as healing continues.

Conditions Treated

From early arthritis to chronic tendinopathies and partial ligament tears, regenerative options are used for a range of orthopaedic conditions.

Knee Osteoarthritis

PRP, GFC and BMAC are used to reduce inflammation and symptoms, and may delay the need for replacement in some patients.

Meniscus Tears

BMAC and stem cell therapy are used in select tears; evidence in this area is still evolving.

Partial ACL / MCL / PCL Tears

Stem cell therapy is being studied for partial, non-retracted ligament tears.

Hip Osteoarthritis

Image-guided PRP and BMAC injections into the hip joint, used as a non-surgical option in early hip arthritis.

Avascular Necrosis (Early)

Stem cell therapy is used in selected early-stage cases of the hip or knee, with the aim of preserving the joint.

Patellar Tendinitis

"Jumper's knee" treated with PRP injections into the patellar tendon to support tendon healing.

Hip Labral Tears

Regenerative therapy may be considered for pain in selected patients, as an alternative to arthroscopy.

Chondromalacia / Cartilage Loss

Cartilage softening or loss; regenerative therapy may help with symptoms.

Rotator Cuff Tears (Partial)

PRP and BMAC injections are used to support tendon healing in partial-thickness tears.

Frozen Shoulder

Regenerative injections combined with mobilisation may support recovery from adhesive capsulitis.

Shoulder Arthritis (Early)

PRP and BMAC injections into the glenohumeral joint to reduce pain.

Tennis Elbow

Lateral epicondylitis is a commonly treated indication for PRP.

Golfer's Elbow

Medial epicondylitis; PRP is directed at the damaged tendon origin to support healing.

Labral / SLAP Tears

Shoulder labral tears may be managed conservatively with image-guided regenerative therapy.

Bicep Tendinopathy

Long head bicep tendon pain treated with ultrasound-guided PRP and structured rehab.

AC Joint Arthritis

Pain at the upper tip of the shoulder from acromioclavicular wear; image-guided regenerative injections may be considered.

Plantar Fasciitis

Heel pain not improving with physio and orthotics; PRP injection may be considered.

Achilles Tendinopathy

Chronic Achilles tendon damage; PRP combined with eccentric loading rehab may be considered.

Ankle Ligament Injuries

Chronic ankle instability and recurrent sprains; regenerative therapy aims to support the ligaments.

Ankle Arthritis

Early ankle joint wear treated with image-guided PRP and BMAC injections for pain relief.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Mild to moderate cases may respond to perineural PRP injections combined with splinting and ergonomics.

Hamstring & Muscle Tears

Sports-related muscle injuries; PRP is used to support healing and return to play.

Hand & Thumb Arthritis

Small-joint arthritis in the hand and base of thumb (CMC); PRP injections for pain and function.

Chronic Mechanical Low Back Pain

Persistent low back pain from ligament laxity and joint wear, addressed with combined PRP and prolotherapy.

Cervical Disc Issues

Neck disc pathology and cervical radiculopathy treated with image-guided regenerative injections.

Disc Bulges & Herniations

Selective regenerative injections to the disc space and surrounding structures may be considered as a non-surgical option.

How regenerative care is delivered at OSSO

Outcomes depend on case selection, protocol, image guidance and integration with rehabilitation.

Waiting area at OSSO
01

Diagnosis First, Treatment Second

  • Regenerative therapy is recommended only when it is a suitable fit for your condition
  • If PRP/BMAC is unlikely to help, we say so
  • Integrated with ortho & physio for a complete plan, not just an injection
02

Image-Guided Delivery

  • Every injection delivered under real-time ultrasound or fluoroscopy
  • Aims to place the biologic at the affected structure
03

Standardised Protocols

  • Standardised platelet/cell processing protocol
  • Sterile preparation under controlled laboratory conditions
04

Outcomes You Can Track

  • Pre-procedure baseline metrics: pain, range of motion, function
  • Structured follow-ups at 6 and 12 weeks to measure progress
  • Patient dashboard to see what is working

You may be a suitable candidate if…

Regenerative therapy is matched to the condition and severity. These patterns often suggest it may be considered.

Early to moderate arthritis

Pain, stiffness or grinding, but joints are not yet bone-on-bone or completely worn out.

Chronic tendon or ligament injury

Tendinitis, tendinopathy or partial tears that haven't responded to rest, physio or medication.

Want to avoid or delay surgery

If you've been told you need joint replacement or ligament reconstruction, a further assessment is available.

Active lifestyle

You want to keep playing sport, running, hiking or staying mobile.

Conventional treatments have not worked

Medications, rest, steroid injections or basic physio haven't helped.

Sports injury (muscle or tendon)

Regenerative therapy may be considered as part of rehab.
